| Blackhawk Residents Association - Volunteer These are a number of areas that we could use volunteers. Feel free to contact the President with your interests. You can volunteer for a one time event or for ongoing help. MAKE OUR NEIGHBORHOOD A SUCCESS BY SHARING YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES. ============================================== Refer to the Events page for additional items. Phone Call Coordinator. We need someone to coordinate the people that make phone calls to all the members before each meeting. They would help make sure everyone gets a call and the callers have a list of phone numbers and simple information. It takes less than an hour every 2 months. Welcome wagon. We could use someone to help start a welcome wagon where someone welcomes new neighbors to the neighborhood. We can work together to get some information from the city, some coupons from local businesses, maps and other information to give new neighbors. Neighborhood Watch Captains. We can use people willing to be a neighborhood watch captain. Please contact us or the refer to the City of Elgin web site - www.cityofelgin.org to get information or register. Spanish Translation. We could use help with translating information to Spanish. Information would be mailed or on the web site. We want to include everyone in our neighborhood and know we have a significant Hispanic population. Please contact us and be a participant in the neighborhood. |
