| Blackhawk Residents Association - Living History Project Be a part of the EXCITING HISTORY OF BLACKHAWK! Share the stories of your experience of living in the Blackhawk area with your neighbors! We are interviewing current and previous residents of the Blackhawk Neighborhood to discover their story about how they came to live here and what they have experienced since moving here. It is fun to recall the events of the past and see the exciting changes that have taken place over the years. We are interviewing anyone interested in sharing their story whether they moved here 10 years ago or 50 years ago! Contact us today to schedule a time. In association with the Elgin Academy and the Mayor's office, we are recording interviews that will be edited and gathered into a DVD format for distribution. Anyone may purchase these and hear the exciting stories of our neighbors. We have already begun gathering stories and may have a DVD ready in 2012. LET THE PAST SHOW US WHERE WE HAVE BEEN SO WE CAN USE THE RESOURCES AND EXPERIENCES WE HAVE TO CHART A FUTURE DIRECTION.
