| Blackhawk Residents Association - EVENTS The next events are scheduled for the summer of 2011. Please help us to organize them and make it a success! ============================================== Some of our past events have been: Annual neighborhood picnic - with City officials in attendance Regular meetings - with many interesting speakers Health Fair - in coordination with Hanover Township National Night Out Elgin Beautification project - planting flowers Neighborhood cleanup City Recognition at Lord's Park Music Day Participation with Downtown Neighborhood group Historic House Walk ============================================== We would like to plan some events to help us achieve some our goals and could use some help with coordinating these plans. Please contact us and be a participant in the neighborhood. Here are some ideas: Help your Neighbor day - helping a neighbor with yard work or house repairs. Feed my Starving Children - a charity that uses volunteers to provide real meals for real starving children around the world. Front yard barbecue. Roll the barbecue out front and invite the neighbors to bring some meat and sit a spell. Bunko - enjoy an evening of playing the fast paced, and enjoyable game of Bunko! LET US KNOW WHAT OTHER EVENTS YOU WOULD ENJOY DOING TO HELP THE NEIGHBORHOOD! |
